We’re pleased to announce that in partnership with NE1, we have awarded two artists new commissions for Pink Lane as part of a bigger project to transform the lane.
After two open calls, which you can find here (open call 1) and here (open call 2) – we have selected:
- Millie Avis, a multimedia artist who works with drawing, painting and printmaking to create bold, colourful designs.
- Alec Saunders (aka ALCLDN), an artist who paints large murals that turn everyday walls into artworks about people, culture and the things that connect us.
These commissions are part of our growing series of creative interventions helping shape the area into a cultural corridor, connecting people to nearby creative spaces through street-level artwork.
