What is the Advisory Group

Creative Central NCL is lead by a team at Newcastle City Council with input, expertise and advice from an Advisory Group.

The Advisory Group is made up of people with all kinds of experience and interests from across arts, heritage, culture and academia. This includes a core group of people who have businesses or organisations based in Creative Central NCL and a rotating group of five to eight people.

Who are the new members?

We opened this up for the first time earlier this year, and have now brought five new members onto the Advisory Group;

  • Papi Jeovani, a spoken word artist/ theatre maker and facilitator;
  • Navya Bharagida, a Masters student and Google city tour guide;
  • Leila d’Aronville, an independent producer and consultant, founder of North East Cultural Freelancers and Creative Producer at Northern Roots;
  • David Reay (and Anna Reay deputising) the Chair of Northern Clothing and Textile Network
  • Tahmina Ali, a British Bangladeshi, Newcastle-based spoken word poet, creative freelancer and young mother.

How to be involved?
