Announcing the launch of Creatively Centred: a series of lively discussions and expert lectures by Creative Central NCL and friends

Over the spring and summer, we’ll host a series of events with partners from across the Creative Central NCL geography covering topics including placemaking, music, research and policy, fashion and audience development.

The first of the Creatively Centred events is in partnership with Generator and tickets are available now.

Creatively Centred on 16 April, at Dance City

In partnership with Generator, we present we present The Importance of the Creative Sector in Placemaking with guest speaker Shain Shapiro, one of the world’s leading music and cultural policy thinkers.

In partnership with Northumbria University we present Wear to next? Working together to shape the future for sustainable fashion, with Dr Alana James and Professor Anne Peirson-Smith, leading academics from Northumbria University and a guest panel.

In partnership with GIFT: Gateshead International Festival of Theatre our third Creatively Centred event titled Performance and its Audiences – reimagining the relationship is with Kate Craddock and Helen Freshwater and will focus on the shifting nature of audience experience in times of change and crisis.
