We’re proud to support Freelancers Unconferenced, a new pilot event from North East Cultural Freelancers that puts freelancers in the driving seat of sector conversations.
This event opens the floor to five freelancers working across arts, culture and heritage to speak on a subject they’re passionate about. After short talks, each freelancer will host a discussion in the room, and attendees can choose which conversation to join creating an open, dynamic space led entirely by the freelance community.
The theme for this pilot is Leadership. Freelancers are leaders in their own right, even if they don’t always see themselves that way. This is a chance to explore what leadership looks like outside of traditional hierarchies.
As part of our commitment to supporting freelance creativity in Newcastle, Creative Central NCL is providing a small number of £50 bursaries to help freelancers attend.
How to apply
To apply, email info@culturalfreelancers.org with a few lines about why you’d like to attend and how it supports your work. If demand exceeds availability, priority will be given to freelancers based in Newcastle and those from backgrounds currently under-represented in the cultural sector.
